The Distance Education office (formerly known as the CATE office) at Santa Rosa Junior College
hosts SRJC's online classes as well as Web-based materials created for face-to-face classes by SRJC faculty.
Here's what you need to do to get started in your online classes at SRJC, and also face-to-face classes for which instructors
provide mandatory or optional Web-based materials.
1. Enroll at SRJC and
register for classes as usual.
2. When your class begins, find the class homepage via the SRJC schedule of classes or the Distanced Ed website.
3. The homepage for your section should contain complete directions from your instructor for checking into class.
4. Follow the check-in process as directed by the instructor on the section homepage. Usually (but not always!) this involves going
to the check-in page where you will
create a private username and password and notify the instructor of the email address you'll be using for class communications.
5. If you have questions about the class or the check-in process, contact the instructor.
