Academic Experience

This is my thirteenth year of teaching full time at the College level. Prior to my work here, I taught as an adjunct Business Instructor at Cuyamaca College in El Cajon, California and also taught Adult Education Computer Applications courses. At the same time I worked as a substitute teacher for both Jr. High and High Schools. On any particular day, I would have had students ranging in age from as young as eleven years old all the way up to eighty five.  Other highlights:

q  Full time instructor of Business and Business Office Technology courses at
Santa Rosa J.C. since 1999

q  Have taught beginning and advanced QuickBooks to hundreds of students including online and face-to-face courses.

q  Adult Education courses including Intro to Computers, Intro to the Internet

q  High School teaching includes Marketing, Intro to Computers

q  California Secondary Teaching Credential – Business (now expired)

Over 15 years professional accounting experience including:

q  Controller and CFO of a major air ambulance firm

q  Senior Financial Analyst for a Fortune 500 company
