On Friday, 17 February 2012 from approximately 8:00 AM until around 2:00 PM, the IT department will be performing maintenance work. As a consequence, during that period access to all CATE-based classes will be disrupted. Therefore, you should not expect to be able to work in your CATE classes during that time. Please plan accordingly.

InDesign 1 students:
The required book Stepping Out With InDesign (SOWI) is available at the SRJC bookstore and can also be purchased online through the SRJC bookstore website. It is also available as a PDF download at lulu.com for $10. Cyndi recommends a printed version of the book so that students can take notes on the specific pages that accompany each webcast lecture.

An excerpt from SOWI for week 1 will be available at the class website listed above.

There is a recommended text, Real World InDesign CS5. This is a comprehensive book on InDesign -- much of the detail is not covered until the second or third InDesign classes. Most students get by with only SOWI.
