| On Friday, 17 February 2012 from approximately 8:00 AM until around 2:00 PM, the IT department will be performing maintenance work.
As a consequence, during that period access to all CATE-based classes will be disrupted. Therefore, you should not expect to be able to
work in your CATE classes during that time. Please plan accordingly. |

Biography
I've been teaching at Santa Rosa Junior College since 1994. Over the years I have taught Critical Thinking, Critical Thinking for Reading and Writing, Introduction to Philosophy, Contemporary Moral Issues, Political Philosophy, and the History of Western Philosophy. As a teacher I'm committed to demonstrating the everyday significance of deliberating over philosophical issues; and I try to do this in a way that emphasizes the importance of thinking critically about these issues. My personal philosophical interests include political philosophy, moral theory, and Existentialism. As an instructor, I encourage both office visits and Independent Studies courses as important parts of philosophical learning. Whether you take a course with me, come across my course web site, or see me walking around campus, always feel free to ask questions, share your thoughts, or just say "Hi."
