I completed my PhD in 2001. In the dissertation I combined many interests: Dickens, the Victorians, photography, film, pop culture, feminist approaches to literature, hands-on research, and of course, travel! I have been teaching at Santa Rosa Junior College over 30 years. The position has allowed me to live abroad (on a year-long Fulbright Teaching Exchange in York, England, and three times on the college's London Semester), to explore various subjects. I've taught everything from Shakespeare to Children's Literature, a class I developed, and written on topics ranging from faculty development to Jane Austen, from women screenwriters to children's dental care.
Education
