Biography

Despite growing up as New York Mets fan (I was born and raised in New Jersey) as you can undoubtedly tell, I'm a huge SF Giants fan.  I was there when they won the west in 2010 with Jonathon Sanchez on the mound, and, after stressing through every single pitch of "torture" through the playoffs,  I was there on Market Street for the World Series parade.  I love everything about baseball.  The slow, deliberate pace, the warmth of the sun and the smell of hot dogs, and the psychological dance of the pitcher and batter.  After the rainy winter months, there's nothing I look forward to more each Spring than the sound of Kruk, Kuip, Miller and Fleming on the radio and the sweet sounds of spring training, letting me know that the baseball season (and summer) is right around the corner.

In addition to teaching at the JC and at Sonoma State, I'm the Clinical Director of Homeward Bound of Marin, an organization dedicated to addressing the issues of homelessness in Marin County.  I'm an avid sports fan, love to cook, write and travel and the proud mother of two college students.
