Mission Statement

The mission of the Santa Rosa Junior College Music Department is to train the next generation of music professionals while enhancing the comprehension and appreciation of music through analysis, study, and performance.

The SRJC Music Department provides the necessary core curriculum in Music Theory, Musicianship, and Music History for lower-division Music majors and minors, as well as courses in Music Appreciation, World Music, Jazz History, Piano, Guitar, and Voice for general education and lifelong learning. The Department also presents performances, clinics, and master classes by renowned guest artists on a regular basis, and is closely allied with other North Bay musical organizations.
