Router Page--Send A Message
How Do I Send A Message?

I. A Message To The Instructor Only

If you want to send a message to the Instructor only, just click on the "Email" button on the Navigation Bar.

Questions of a personal nature, such as questions concerning your individual performance in class, should be addressed to me through direct email, and not to all of your classmates through the class message lists.

II. A Message To Everybody
To Students in Metro 10, and in Metro 10L

If you want to send a message to everybody (to the instructor, to students in the online Introduction To Meteorology classes, and to students in the online Meteorology Lab), then click here: Message List Input Form--Meteorology 10 and 10L.

Questions or comments about the weather, about science, or about course material which might be of interest to your classmates should be sent through this link.

In fact, nearly all messages should be sent using this link, unless there is a specific reason why all sections should not receive your particular message.

Here's an example of when you wouldn't use this list: if you have a comment or a question concerning an assignment in Meteorology 10, then use don't this list, because students in Meteorology in 10L don't have the same assignments. In this example, use the Meteorology 10 link below.

III. A Message To Almost Everybody
To Students in Metro 10

If you want to send a message to the instructor and to students in the online Introduction To Meteorology classes, then click here: Message List Input Form--Meteorology 10.

The only time to use this link is if the message you'll be sending is irrelevant to students in the Meteorology Lab. For instance, if you send a message regarding assignments in the Introduction To Meteorology classes, then you should use this link, because students in the lab don't necessarily take the introduction class this semester.

IV. A Message To Weekend College Students
This List Is For Use By Weekend College Students Only (You Know Who You Are)

If you are enrolled in online Introduction To Meteorology through the Weekend College program, and you want to send a message to the instructor and to your fellow Weekend College students who are enrolled in this online meteorology class, then click here: Message Input Page for Weekend College List.

V. A Message To Almost Everybody
To Students in Metro 10L

If you are enrolled in the online The Meteorology Lab, and you want to send a message to the instructor and to the students in the lab, then click here: Message List Input Form--Meteorology 10L.

The only time to use this link is if the message you'll be sending is irrelevant to students in the Introduction To Meteorology classes. For instance, if you send a message regarding assignments in The Meteorology Lab, then you should use this link, because students in the introduction classes don't necessarily take the lab this semester.

VI. To Take Part In Weekly Discussions
Introduction To Meteorology Students Only

If you want to take part in one of the weekly discussions in online Introduction To Meteorology, then click on the link to Discussion Topics Of The Week.

VII. To Enter The Live Chat Room
Anyone Can Chat

If you want to enter the live Chat Room, then click on the link to Chat Center.

The Chat Room is for students in the online Introduction To Meteorology classes, as well as for students in the online Meteorology Lab.

The Chat Room also serves as a Student/Faculty Lounge, a gathering place for students and for me to meet and greet. The Chat Room always will be open; you can log in 24 hours a day. Throughout the weekdays, often I am available in the Chat Room, and I would be happy to "chat" with you.

If I'm not logged into the Chat Room, it's best to email me directly if you want to connect with me.
