With a commitment to quality, support, and academic excellence, the mission of College Skills/Tutorial is to provide academic instruction and tutoring. Our goal is to improve the academic skills of under-prepared students and to meet diverse student needs through credit and non-credit classes. This includes bilingual (English/Spanish) classes and Vocational English for Speakers of other Languages (VESL).
• Encouraging independent learning in a supportive environment We offer a host of classes designed to help new and returning students prepare for the rigors of college life and academics. We also offer free, non-credit lab instruction in Mathematics and Language Arts.
We are all gifted in many different ways, but we may have gaps in academic skills in other ways. You are not the only one who realizes there could be a great deal more to be learned. It's never too late! Come in and we will enroll you.
The Santa Rosa Campus is located at 1501 Mendocino Avenue, Santa Rosa, CA The College Skills Department is located in Analy Village, on the west side of campus. The Academic Skills Lab is located in Building H, Rm 601. The Math Lab is in Building F, Rm 615. The Department Office is in Building G, Rm 605. The Phone Number is (707) 527-4834. Directions: From Northbound 101: Take the College Avenue exit, make right on College Ave, go under freeway and take first left on Morgan St, take left at first stop on Carillo St and follow around to Armory Dr, continue on Armory Drive (past the Armory) and turn right onto Scholars Drive. Analy Village is the group of tan colored buildings on the left with green trim (above photo). From Southbound 101: Take the Steele Lane exit, make left on Steele Lane, go under freeway and take first right after freeway, veer right and follow Armory Dr. After Elliot Ave stop sign and after parking lot, turn left onto Scholars Drive. The Petaluma Campus is located at 680 Sonoma Mountain Parkway in Petaluma, CA The College Skills Lab and the Math Lab are in Kathleen Doyle Hall, 2nd Floor, Rm 252/252A Lab Phone: (707) 778-3950 The Faculty Office, Rm 249, is located in the reception area between the College Skills Lab and the Tutorial Center, Kathleen Doyle Hall Faculty Office: (707) 778-4121 Directions: From Northbound 101: Take the Washington Ave. exit. Turn right on Washington. Go through the first light at McDowell Blvd. and continue one mile to Sonoma Mountain Parkway. Turn left on Sonoma Mountain Parkway and continue north for 2 miles. The Petaluma Campus is on the right. Turn right at the light on Campus Circle. From Southbound 101: Take the first Petaluma exit, Petaluma Blvd. North. Turn left on Petaluma Blvd. North, go over the freeway to the first traffic light at McDowell Blvd. Turn right on McDowell Blvd. Go 1.5 miles to the traffic light at Corona Rd. Turn left on Corona Rd. and proceed to the traffic round. After entering the traffic round, take the first right on to Sonoma Mountain Parkway and continue south for one mile.
