DISCIPLINES
Anatomy

Anatomy is the study of the structure of the human body. Most students study Anatomy with the goal of becoming an allied health professional, such as a paramedic, nurse, or dental hygienist. Students at SRJC have outstanding resources for the study of Anatomy, including numerous models and organ prosections. Students in the more advanced Anatomy course dissect human cadavers as part of their laboratory experience. Each Anatomy course is designed to prepare students for different allied health professions. Check our Anatomy & Physiology Course Descriptions to be sure you enroll in the correct course.

Following is a list of all anatomy courses taught in the department. Many of these courses are taught every semester, but be sure to check the current schedule for specific courses and locations. Each course number is linked to its specific description. Note that ANAT 40 and 140 are combined anatomy and physiology courses. Many students have questions about the allied health prerequisite science courses. Please read information on Allied Health Prerequisite Science Classes, including best course sequences and strategies to get into these impacted courses.
