Medical Assisting Programs at Santa Rosa Junior College
SRJC offers Medical Assisting Programs:
- Clinical Medical Assisting
- Clinical and Administrative Medical Assisting
- Administrative Medical Assisting
All of the programs offer comprehensive, hands-on training in SRJC's William B. Race Building as well as medical externships. The programs provide high-quality education and experience to prepare students for the appropriate state and/or national certification exams.
The programs vary in length and instructional focus. The following offers detailed information on the current Medical Assisting programs that are available at SRJC, and information about preparing for a successful college experience.
Credits earned in obtaining a career certificate in Medical Assisting can also be applied toward associate degree graduation requirements.
Students completing a Medical Assisting program do not require licensing and can work in any state.
The Medical Coding and Reimbursement is no longer accepting new students into the program.
The last offering of MA 166.3, Externship: Medical Billing and Coding, is projected for Fall 2013. The Medical Coding and Reimbursement Certificate will no longer accept new students into the program. The course will be incorporated within the MA Administrative Certificate.
