The Kanbar Center will be creating a Bollywood experience in the Hoytt Theater through the amazing talent and energy of Dholrhythms of Non-Stop Bhangra. Backed by the rhythms of live dhol (drum) performance and the music of DJ Jimmy Love, the colors, dance and music will transform and re-energize. Come get your bindis on! And watch, learn, participate, enjoy!

The scion of a legendary Hindustani percussion dynasty, Zakir Hussain is universally acknowledged as the world’s greatest tabla virtuoso, a master of classical North Indian music who has collaborated with a glittering roster of international stars.

Getting back to his roots, Hussain leads a classical ensemble of rising North and South Indian masters featuring flutist Rakesh Churasia, the nephew of flute legend Hariprasad Chaurasia, sitarist Niladri Kumar, who toured with Hussain’s Masters of Percussion series, and violinist Ganesh Rajagopalan, one half of the acclaimed violin virtuoso duo, Ganesh and Kumaresh.

Razzmataz Folk Dance hosts this wonderful evening of dance and music. Gradina singing ensemble is a local group based in the Russian River area. They sing a cappella and also sing accompanied by instuments. Be sure to wear black and red dance clothes.
