BBK 51 Lecture Instructions for Excel and PKL Software

Below are the brief instructions to get started with PKL Software.  This is the program we will use to complete a practice set similar to what you completed in BBK 50, only a bit longer and somewhat more detailed.  Once you follow these steps you will come to another page with much more detail.  If the link to the website doesn't work just copy and paste it into your browser's address bar.

Purchase the practice set, Al G Rhythm, which includes free access to Accounting Coach, a separate program that provides instruction and help on a variety of accounting topics.  Depending on the payment method you choose, it may take up to five days to get access to the software.  The fastest way is to use PayPal (you can set up a one-time account).  At present, the cost is $19.95.

You don't need to print anything unless you want to use it yourself.  I will evaluate your work online, so please don't email it to me.

Four Easy Steps To PKL Software

1.  Go to www.pklsoftware.com           

2.  On the Home page click Log In and then select the PKL Software product you wish to use.  (Al G Rhythm or Accounting Coach)

3.  On the Log-In page, click on the Button that says:

     First Time User?  Click Here!

4.  Print the instructions and carefully follow the steps listed

     to complete the license purchase and the student

     registration process.

Your Professor Course Code: BBK 51______  (can be upper or lower case)

If your professor does not give you a course code, leave the Course Code space blank.  You can also enter a course code later by going to Administration on the Menu Bar and selecting the Change User Data submenu.
