\Email\ In order to take an online class at SRJC, you must have an email account. Don't attempt to go through the check in process or participate in a class without a reliable email account where you can send, receive, read, and manage your email.

In general, you should obtain a functional email account when you sign up with an ISP—such as Sonic, AOL, MSN, Comcast, ATT, etc—for your connection to the Internet.

However, in some cases you might prefer to use a different email account. In that case, we recommend a student email account at SRJC.

You might also consider a free Web-based email account offered by various sources such as Google, Yahoo, Hotmail, etc. Keep in mind that these free accounts often limit you to a minimal amount of storage space for mail (and attachments) and you might be required to pay for increased storage in order to ensure you don't lose any mail.

Whatever your choice, make sure you have a reliable email account before undertaking an online class.
